This strange case just got stranger. David DePape, the man charged with attacking Paul Pelosi, apparently called a local reporter yesterday and read a scripted statement. It could have easily been written by the CIA. I could be someone pretending to be David DePape. It could all be completely fabricated as the reporter acknowledged she did not recognize the number.
