An 11-year-old child has been arrested on criminal charges in the United Kingdom as authorities crack down on anti-mass migration riots that have descended the nation into civil unrest.
Cleveland Police said the child was taken into custody on alleged suspicion of violent disorder and is the youngest individual apprehended thus far, as per The Telegraph.
The arrest was part of a series of coordinated raids on Wednesday, which resulted in 14 apprehensions. The individuals arrested ranged in age from 11 to 43, police said.
“Teams of officers headed out this morning to target those believed to be involved in the disorder,” the police force said.
The civil unrest came after the son of African migrants allegedly killed three children in a mass stabbing attack at a Taylor Swift-themed dance class in Southport in July.
