We reported earlier on the unbelievable news that Joe Biden was going to be giving former Wyoming representative Liz Cheney and Rep. Bennie Thompson (D-MI) the nation’s second highest civilian award — the Presidential Citizens Medal — for their “work” on the Jan. 6 Committee.
Translation? Here’s your award for doing your best to bag my political opponent.
Of course, they ultimately failed in that endeavor and Donald Trump was elected on Nov. 5.
But the ceremony itself was something else. When they announced the award, the announcer intoned it was for “putting the American people over party.”
