In an interview with the daily Maariv published this Friday, the 10th, Bolsonaro detailed the case and how he assisted Vagdani in leaving the country. The Israeli soldier had been targeted with an arrest warrant issued by a far-left organization founded by militants linked to Hamas.
According to The Jerusalem Post , Bolsonaro contacted sources in Israel shortly after releasing a video exposing the persecution against the soldier. He also launched an online campaign to halt the charges filed against Vagdani.
