Republican South Dakota Gov. Kristi Noem told me on Newsmax that the optics surrounding Vice President Kamala Harris’ first major media interview since becoming the Democratic presidential nominee are atrocious.

Harris and Walz will sit down with CNN’s Dana Bash in Georgia for an interview that will air Thursday night. It’s sort of like the Minnesota governor is serving as an emotional support coach.
