The mayor of troubled Springfield Ohio, which has seen a massive influx of Haitians in the last three years, may be personally profiting from the newcomers, a new report alleges.
The Buckeye Reporter claims that Rob Rue has been renting private properties to Haitians.
A 37-year-old man, identified as “Works,” told the Reporter that he and other Haitians are living in buildings owned by the mayor.
Twitter sleuth Arynne Wexler has turned up records that show Rue owns several properties through his business, Littleton Properties LLC.
Interestingly, many of these properties were purchased in 2021, at around the same time as the federal government started shipping migrants in to the city. Secretary of Homeland Security Alejandro Mayorkas designated Haitian migrants for temporary protected status at the end of May 2021, and many of Rue’s purchases followed in June 2021. […]
