Federal authorities have launched an investigation into New York City Mayor Eric Adams’ use of private email addresses and the unexplained loss of records from his seven trips to China. According to a source close to the investigation, as the New York Post reported, Mayor Adams employed three private email accounts to coordinate his dealings in China.
One of these trips reportedly received partial funding from the Chinese Communist Party. The private emails in question are not found on New York City’s government servers, which means significant details such as trip funding and meeting participants remain undisclosed.
It has been revealed that Adams and his top aide, Winnie Greco, who has served as director of Asian Affairs since 2022, used these private emails between 2014 and 2021 during Adams’ tenure as Brooklyn Borough President.
