The DNC was basically an effort to recast someone who has historically been unpopular in her position, Kamala Harris. Unpopular — right up until the narrative needed to make her into something else to help Democrats hold onto power. So the disturbing cackle and incoherent word salads become “joy” and suddenly you have older people talking about “being brat” and trying to sound young, always a bad and phony move.
To be fair, they have a lot of failure baggage so they don’t have a lot of options in terms of how to campaign. But trust them to always pick the cringiest options. They didn’t leave all the cringe just at the DNC.
They just got involved with another cringe-arama with “The Late Show.” Hillary Clinton, Rep. Nancy Pelosi (D-CA), Transportation Secretary Pete Buttigieg, Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-NY), actresses Julia Louis-Dreyfus and Laura Benanti all were part of the videos.
